PAN'S LABYRINTH

I suggest you click play on the YouTube video before starting to read this.

While some may think Pan's Labyrinth to be a children's fantasy movie, the ones that have seen it will disagree. It is a shocking movie where the horrifying reality blends in with the world of fantasy seen through the eyes of a child.

The images are vivid and seem extremely real, the characters are grotesque and the acting is amazing. But what I found to be the most hair rising thing from the entire movie was  the lullaby from the above embedded video. The lullaby by itself is lovely, but when it starts to sing at the end of the movie, it is a moment you will never forget in your life. Like Enya's song from Gladiator.

Pan's Labyrinth was written and directed by Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro and  has won  three Academy Awards. At its Cannes Film Festival release, it received a 22 minute standing ovation.

It is one of those movies you shouldn't miss.

INCEPTION
probably the best movie of the decade

My friends have highly acclaimed this movie. They've been stressing me out to see it since it premiered a couple of weeks ago. At first I was reticent to go to the cinema because of the not-so-impressive trailer.  Your mind is the scene of the crime … so what?  I asked myself.

Today I went to see it… and boy, was I in for a surprise!

From acting to directing, from the smooth effects to the terrific plot, everything I found to be pure perfection.

And to help you understand how good the movie is here is a print screen from imdb's top 250 movies. It had it's premiere a couple of weeks ago and it is already on 3rd place below the Godfather.

I'm not going to tell you what the movie is about because I hate spoilers.

Here is the trailer, but I repeat, it doesn't do Inception much justice.
